Opatija

Emanating charm and fascinating appeal, Opatija – the Croatian Adriatic pearl, invites you to experience the charm of old good days when emperors and kings, members of old European families, artists and bon vivants used to reside here. It was named after the Benedictine monastery mentioned as early as the fifteenth century. This town is also one of the most beautiful tourist localities on the Adriatic, the town of film dreams, with hotel facades decorated in various historic styles, with tourists strolling along the sunny quayside even in the course of winter months. Built at the turn of the 19th and the 20th century, it has retained its harmony with nature up to the present day.
