nclude original meat products with home-made bread, pasta, desserts made with honey and marmalade, natural juices and spirits, and many other items. Do not forget to toast with a glass of tasty high-quality wine, because Croatian wine producers every year receive numerous international awards and have an increasing number of satisfied customers
During the fair, there will also be a special gastronomical manifestation – the preparation of autochthonous meals from the area of Primorsko-Goranska County, prepared by famous and renowned chefs. On this occasion, the project “Cesta domaće hrane” (Local Food Road) will be presented in the organization by the Catering School Opatija and the caterers of the Liburnija hinterland.
Opatija as a tourist destination is precisely the attractive host for such promotion, considering its hundred-year’ old tradition of cherishing excellent gastronomy, but also because the majority of Opatija’s visitors are inclined to enjoy in fantastic gastronomical pleasures.
Gast Expo was conceived as a manifestation with a selling character with tasting of exhibited wines and autochthonous delicacies for the occasion. Every visitor of the fair can buy a commemorative tasting glass at the entrance with a bag.
