RI Gastro - Asparagus delicacies in Rijeka
Following the season, the first edition of this year's Rijeka gastro days from 11 to 18 April will be dedicated to asparagus.
The desire behind this event is to teach and preserve the tradition of Mediterranean food, for which numerous studies have proven to have great benefits. Asparagus - green shoots of spring, with their specific bitter taste are a true culinary gem. Its flavours are always long remembered, and in combination with Kvarner scampi, other sea delicacies, homemade ricotta, lamb... asparagus are true delight. During this gastro week a series of caterers in their restaurants and taverns will prepare various dishes based on this forest treat, all at reasonable prices – Trattoria Riva's, Kuća istarskog pršuta, Bistro La Rose, Tavern Blato, Belgian Beer Café – Brasserie As, Hotel Continental Restaurant, Grand Hotel Bonavia, Tavern Na kantunu, Stancija Kovačići, Tavern Nebuloza and Ristorante Spagho.
