Events calendar

The European Capital of Culture is one of the most prestigious and respected cultural initiatives in Europe, and Rijeka is the first Croatian city to join the family of over sixty European cities which proudly hold this title. A range of events of European significance is organised in European Capitals of Culture throughout the year. Alongside a rich programme, the cities frequently use this opportunity for capital investments in their cultural infrastructure and the development of their city as a tourist destination as well.
