The first Croatian museum dedicated to childhood, games, books and toys loved by many generations before they "decided" to become all grown up and serious. The Museum of Childhood offers more than 600 exhibits among which the oldest toy dates back to 1900. It is thematically divided into the Creation Park, Fossil Zone, Social Circle, Advertising Passage, Book Corner, Doll Empire, Sand Arena, Street Call and In Front of the Screen. The specificity of this museum is that it is created by the citizens themselves who donate their toys and childhood memories.

Permanent exhibition at Zrinski Castle at Brod na Kupi, Gorski kotar
With its permanent exhibition „Wilderness with the sea view“ at Zrinski Castle at Brod na Kupi Natural History Museum Rijeka presents natural heritage of Gorski kotar, from Kupa valley and karst underground, including the most significant forest habitats, mountains above forest line, to the sky and clouds. The permanent exhibition displays characteristics, interesting facts and special features of natural areas of Gorski kotar, together with elements of traditional coexistence of humans and nature in this area. Being very atmospheric, the permanent exhibition allows the visitors to take a peek at miniature world of mosses and lichens, visit the cold and dark karst doline, explore the mine, feel the extreme weather conditions at the mountains, try climbing the artificial boulder while discovering hidden exhibits or even have a live encounter with snakes or birds.
The ground floor of Zrinski castle hosts the “Interpretation centre of Routs of Frankopans, Brod na Kupi”.
Both, the permanent exhibition and the interpretation centre, represent a tourist attraction at the castle dating from 17th century that is situated at the mere border with Slovenia.
