RIJEKA ASTRONOMY CENTER
Persons with disabilities can access all parts of the Rijeka Astronomy Center using elevators, except the panoramic terrace and the planetarium.
It is possible to accommodate 2 to 4 wheelchairs in the planetarium.
The large hall and all other halls will be adjusted in accordance with the need.

ZAMET CENTER
The Zamet Center meets all the requirements concerning persons with disabilities. Besides the necessary accessibility requirements, it also meets the requirements concerning the sanitary facilities for both visitors and athletes.
All parts of the Zamet Center, the hall and the commercial amenities, are accessible by persons with disabilities.
Accessibility has been ensured by way of elevators running from the garage to the square and level 1 with commercial amenities, whereas the hall can be accessed from the ground level and level 1. The hall on level 2 can also be accessed by using elevators from the garage or the ground level.
The grandstands include 28 places for persons with disabilities.

KANTRIDA POOL COMPLEX (BAZENI KANTRIDA)
Garage: persons with disabilities can access the Kantrida Pool Complex from the Rijeka promet public garage, where there are 8 parking places for persons with disabilities. Persons with disabilities can come down to the square in front of the main entrance to the pool complex using an elevator with level number buttons in the Braille alphabet.
At the level of the main entrance to the Kantrida Pool Complex, there is a reception area and a locker room with a sanitary facility adjusted to meet the needs of persons with disabilities. The locker room is connected with Olympic Pool 1 (indoor pool), a 25m pool and a children’s pool by an elevator adjusted to meet the needs of persons with disabilities. Persons with disabilities have direct access from the locker room to Olympic Pool 2 (outdoor pool). In the final pool complex construction phase, direct access will be ensured to the diving pool as well. There will be no architectonic barriers for the movement of persons with disabilities on the pool premises once the pool complex is completely finished. There are special signs on the floors of the pool complex placed in order to facilitate orientation of the blind and sight-impaired persons. More precisely, all directions have been marked with white or yellow stripes. Besides in terms of color, they also differ from the surrounding surface in texture, allowing the sight-impaired persons to follow them more easily.
The Kantrida Pool Complex has both fixed and movable lifts, allowing persons with disabilities and persons with impaired mobility to get into and come out of the pools. The lifts can be moved from one pool to another, if needed. The Kantrida Pool Complex staff has been educated in operating the lifts. It is always there to help visitors with impaired mobility.
The grandstand includes specially marked places for persons in wheelchairs and an adjusted toilet.
The Kantrida Pool Complex conducts regular training courses for persons with disabilities organized by the Forca Swimming Club and the Sunce Association of Parents of Persons with Disabilities.
A pool complex adjusted in the above described manner does not only facilitate the everyday use of the pool by persons with disabilities, it also enables organization of swimming competitions for persons with disabilities of the highest standard in Croatia.
The quality of construction and functionality of the complex have been recognized at the international level. To be more precise, the Rijeka sports complex has received the IPC Distinction Award from the International Paralympic Committee, an award presented to sports facilities adjusted to meet the needs of persons with disabilities.
