The Gorski Kotar Forest Fruits Festival takes place each year, May through October. Picking of the fruits that are either self-grown or are sown or planted by the inhabitants, then educational programmes, culinary workshops, tasting of autochthonous gastronomic products as well as recreation attract many visitors going back to nature in this way.
Enjoyment is enhanced by the well planed cycling paths and strolling tracks. The programmes are daily and regularly include visits to the main local attractions. Starting from May, the participants in the manifestation may pick and get to know better lilies of the valley, spruce trees, strawberries, elder, medicinal herbs, raspberries, juniper berries, mushrooms, plums, potatoes and apples.
