Bjelolasica is the highest elevation in Gorski kotar. It is almost 6 kilometres long and stands above Mrkopalj and Jasenak shaped like a long crest.
The highest peak is Kula, 1534 metres high. The mountain is a favourite destination in proximity to the sea, visited by mountain climbers, cyclists and skiers in wintertime. The Olympic Centre Bjelolasica has been developed in the immediate vicinity of the highest peaks, with numerous possibilities for recreation and sports training – skiers and sledge drivers in winter and numerous other sports in other periods of the year.
