Biserujka Cave is situated in the north-eastern part of the island of Krk and its interior of striking beauty is a must-see.
It is 110 metres long and just 12 metres deep but very rich in cave ornaments (stalactites, stalagmites and stalagnates) which thrill the visitors.
The cave temperature varies from 15 degrees centigrade in summer to 13 degrees in winter. The cave ornaments vary from brownish and grey to reddish ones.
Endemic crabs, snails, centipedes and bats live in the cave and cave-bear remnants have been discovered there, as much as 16 thousand years old.
Adjusted for the visitors and well-lit, the cave is easily accessible to everyone – from children to the elderly.
