Fragrances and Tastes of Lošinj

Mali Lošinj

Those who wish to feel the rhythm and beauty of this Mediterranean region in its full beauty and value will have a chance to enjoy and get closer to nature than ever before in the Fragrant Island Garden of Lošinj (Miomirisni otočki vrt).

Thanks to the project entitled the Fragrances and Tastes of Lošinj (Miomirisi i okusi Lošinja), the visitors have a chance to get familiar with the herbs specific to a particular period of the year month after month. The fact that the hotels, food service facilities, camps, beauty salons and travel agencies have joined the project means that now the entire island lives in the sign of herbs specific to a particular month.

The citrus fruit and figs, olives, pine, sage, rosemary, lavender, agave (aloe), true myrtle, wild rose, pomegranate… There are many plants used as medicines, essential oils, in the preparation of sweet delicacies, dishes, drinks or beverages… In Lošinj, you will be able to smell, taste, use them as care products or simply learn about them in this unique school of nature.
