I LOVE KVARNER
Every year the Kvarner County Tourist Board takes part in the educative-ecological campaign «I love Croatia» organized by the tourist boards' system, in cooperation with local management and self-management bodies, corporate entities from the County area and with various other associations and entities.
The project's goal is the promotion of activities and the participation in environmental protection programmes, tourist product promotion, hospitality levels upgrading and creation of a welcoming atmosphere through:
- preservation of the living environment and of tourist spaces,
- encouraging the firms to implement ecological principles as part of their business policy,
- population education
- elimination of illegal waste dumps and solid waste,
- cleaning up sea coasts, lakes, rivers and stream embankments, cleaning up squares, streets and beaches
- nature, water and forests protection; afforestation of areas that were affected by fire,
- development of cycling, pedestrian and mountain paths, wine roads,
- promotion of rural, hunting and fishing tourism
- creation of a welcoming atmosphere for domestic and foreign tourists and visitors
- life-quality upgrading
