The fifth edition of the Rijeka's Bookfest book fair is scheduled from 8 to 12 April in the city center.

The aim of this project is to promote books, knowledge and reading, and to provide visitors and readers the latest releases and events on the local and international publishing scene. Bookfest 5 will bring together leading Rijeka's and Croatian publishers, and also publishers from several neighboring countries who will directly, without any intermediaries, present themselves to their readers and business partners. The side program of the fair includes opening ceremony featuring Octachord vocal group, children's program, evening with the author Valid Đekić and a presentation of a group of Rijeka's authors united under the name Ri Lit.
