During the time of theFrankopans, at the end of the grape harvest, the Little Rose used to be chosen among the female the most beautiful and the most diligent girl. Crowned with a wreath made from the grapevine, with the music of some old folk instruments, she would lead the parade of pickers to the town. Nowadays, the  Little Rose of Vinodol Contest is a great celebration of wine of the Vinodol region. Contestants compete in the  games in Pavlomir Vineyards and in the Town of New Vinodolski. All is accompanied by wine fair, folklore and entertainment programme.
