The four currently most popular young singing stars on the Croatian scene prove that a great voice travels “far”. They are Mia Negovetić, a young girl who conquered Hollywood with her incredible talent and modesty, Nina Kraljić, the first winner of the Croatian edition of the talent show The Voice and our country's representative at this year's European Song Contest – “Eurosong” in Stockholm, Damir Kedžo, the „nightingale from the Island Krk“, who with his recent performance at the international show The New Wave Stars in Russia virtually put a spell on the demanding audience there, and Marko Tolja, a multi-talented native of Rijeka of international fame and stature, who sold out the Lisinski Concert Hall by himself, together with Oliver Dragojević made the Albert Hall in London go crazy and who showed the audiences all over the world what does Sinatra of the modern days sound like. Together with 30 musicians of the Olja'zz Orchestra, an orchestra conducted by the multi-instrumentalist and widely acclaimed musician Olja Dešić, this foursome will lead you into the glorious music adventure of June.

Cabaret à la Carte classifies as a “cabaret” due to its choice of music and atmosphere, and as “ à la carte” because of the wide variety of songs from which the audience can choose their favorite ones. In this way each rendering becomes unique and different, while the audience is directly involved in creating the program. This multimedia, interactive, song-and-dance program transforms the performance space into a theatre. Its detachment from the usual concert concept is achieved through entertaining transitions from singing to dancing, sketches or conversations between characters, conversations with the audience or through playing unusual instruments – and all of this contributes to the general cabaret-like experience. The innovative concept of Cabaret à la Carte is brought to us by the distinguished Croatian artists in the field of jazz music and contemporary dance. Their rich experience in different areas of the performing arts creation opens up possibilities for this unusual marriage that brings a fresh visual and musical experience to the stage.

Many have attempted and tried to modernize the Croatian musical heritage, but what Elvis Stanić achieved with his new project „Criss – CROss“ with the Jazz Ex Tempore Band has surpassed many expectations. The project premiere will be performed at the 16. Liburnia Jazz Festival on Friday, July 1, at the Open Air Theatre, in a unique manner in the form of a Silent Concert. A Silent Concert or a Headphone Concert is a unique way of listening to the music during which the audience, with the help of wireless headphones, takes part in the live performance of the musicians and experiences the music in an entirely new way, while also enjoying a perfect sound of studio quality in the process. On top of that, there will be no barrier of any kind between the musicians and the audience, because the musicians will be performing in between the audience rows, among the guests. With the perfect studio sound quality, personalized sound level and „serried seating“ with the performing musicians, each and every one of the listeners will be given a truly exclusive music experience at this Silent Concert, one to be remembered for a long time.
This concert will be filmed by the CMC television and some of the footage will be used to compile a video spot about this project!

Heilongjiang Bingshang Acrobatics & Dance on Ice group had about 60 members in 2005 when it was founded, with an average age of 18 years. Within three months, after only one year of training, they held over one hundred performances in the Shanghai Hongko stadium where they were seen by more than 30 thousand spectators. They performed in Italy, Russia, France, Israel and Taiwan, thus enthralling more than 160 thousand people. So far they have performed in more than 500 shows in front of over one million spectators all over the world. Being the only artistic group specialized in acrobatics on ice in the whole of China, they aroused interest of the cultural circles and in the years of 2008 and 2009 were awarded the National Recognition for International Presentation of Cultural Values as well as Recognition for Enterprise in the category of Cultural exports, thus becoming a major Chinese cultural brand.
At our Open Air Theatre, without the ice, they will thrill you with their incredible acrobatic show that is filled with original Chinese elements, thus bringing you excitement and feelings of admiration.

Due to her amazing voice melodiousness, precision and warmth, Sumi Jo has become the most sought after soprano of her generation, while the public and the professional circles are competing in praising her performances at the most important opera houses and concert halls worldwide, such as the La Scala in Milan or the Carnegie Hall and Metropolitan Opera in New York. Her singing surpasses the domain of classical music and so, among other things, she also recorded music for several film scores, preformed on a tour with Andrea Bocelli, sang at the closing ceremony of the Olympics in Sochi in 2014 as well as participated in numerous humanitarian and charity performances.
Lucio Gallo, globally acclaimed baritone and a regular guest of the leading opera houses in the world, has fallen in love with opera after having realized that it is precisely the opera that is the most beautiful and complete form of art in which the voice and the movement are just equally important. He works together with the most distinguished conductor names and together with them he accomplishes the roles of Mozart, Rossini and Verdi heroes. He performed at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Staatsoper in Vienna, La Scala in Milan, Royal Opera House in London, and - starting from this year, we will be able to add the Open Air Theatre of Opatija to all the other renowned venues that were witness to his extraordinary voice.

Do you know what do Frank Sinatra and Opera have in common? Lucio Gallo, the world famous Italian baritone!
In the concert simply titled „Tribute to Frank Sinatra“ he will be accompanied by the famous Italian jazz musician Claudio Chiara and his quintet of superb musicians, including, next to himself: Alessandro Maiorino, Alessandro Minetoo, Fabio Golier and Fulvio Chiara.
Lucio Gallo has started singing since his early childhood days; he liked jazz and swing and hated the opera. And it is precisely for this reason that he sang Sinatra's hit “New York, New York” at the audition for the conservatory in Turin! A young boy who disliked the opera has in the end become one of the most famous opera baritones in the world.
Fly me to the moon, The Way You Look Tonight, My Way, The Lady is a Tramp are just few of the hits that you will be listening to at this concert, and they were composed in the period between 1963 and 1960 - the period of Sinatra's greatest artistic achievements and the most profound cultural impact.
It is with this concert that Lucio Gallo pays his tribute to „the greatest singer in the history of American music“, who succeeded in elevating popular music to an artistic level!

Business secrets are common in many areas of life, but in dancing? How is it possible that dancers have a secret step, when their artistry can be seen by all? Nevertheless, there is a dance company from Russia, „Beriozka“, whose technique, the so called „floating dance step“, nobody can decipher, and rumor has it that dancers who join the company are not allowed to reveal the technique of this dance step even to their own families.
The distinctiveness of this dance step during which the chorus girls appear to be standing in one place as if floating on air, while the stage underneath them moves, in combination with their exceptional beauty and gracefulness, has kept the audiences worldwide hypnotized and breathless for more than half a century.
The National folk dance company „Beriozka“ was founded in 1948 by the choreographer Nadezhda Nadezhdina. Since then, „Beriozka“ has been a source of inspiration in the artistic circles, a symbol of purity and grandioseness of the Russian national art. They performed in more than 80 countries and with their trademark, „the floating dance step“, their dancers have crossed more than 47.000 kilometers - more than the circumference of our planet - and have „floated their way“ to Opatija!
