Events calendar

The Kastav Summer of Culture takes place during June and August at various sites of the town (stage and music performances on Crekvina, the Parish Church of Saint Jelena Križarica and Municipal Loggia; exhibitions in Lokvina square and The Holy Trinity gallery). It first appeared in 1992 and is held annually ever since.

The Guitar Festival has been held annually since 1997 and is remarkable for its quality and its great attendances. It features leading guitar players from Croatia and all over the world. The closing days of the Kastav Summer of Culture have in the past few years been marked by the well-attended Čansonfest - a chanson song festival with performances in the čakavian dialect. The most prominent Croatian singers readily appear on the festival.
