In Omišalj and Njivice, each season has its own special story, so we will round off the year with our own Christmas story. A diverse programme will take place at several themed locations decorated with Christmas lights to provide a lasting memory for all visitors.
The story begun on 27 November in the centre of Omišalj with the traditional lighting of the 1st Advent candle and a performance by the parish choir and soloists. The programme continued the same evening in Omišalj Community Centre, with the openning the ice-skating season.
The only ice-skating rink on the island of Krk will be operating until 9 January 2022. Until 23 December, it will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from noon to 8 p.m. at weekends. During the school holidays (from 27 December until closing), the rink will be open every day from noon to 8 p.m. Ice skates can be rented for 20 kuna per hour. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced ice skater, we recommend you visit the rink and have a great time!
The Omišalj Memorial Park is the centre of Christmas Story. This is where you can buy something special to eat and drink, meet Santa Claus, and enjoy concerts on Fridays and weekends with the Coffee Shop Band, The Elephant in the Room, and the Loose Trio Band until 24 December. To round off the Christmas idyll, there will be performances by the Josip Kaplan Youth Choir and Marko Tolja.
Omišalj Campsite has prepared Omi’s Advent Weekend from 10 to 12 December with Santa Claus and a DJ and a special culinary offer for all visitors and guests. You can check the special holiday offer of mobile homes at www.campingomisalj.com. Entrance to the campsite is free.
