Opening ceremony, assembly outside the Dvorana Mladosti sports hall (Viktor Bubanj Square) and ceremonial parade towards Trsat Castle in the historical attire of the Frankopans, the raising of the Trsat flag outside the Shrine of Our Lady of Trsat, selection of the Trsat Castle Captain at Trsat Castle.
April 19th
Heritage Talks – interactive lecture and reflections on the legacy of Trsat with speakers reminiscing or telling stories and anecdotes from the Trsat’s past – Rijeka City Library – Trsat branch)
April 20th to April 22nd
Trsat Neighbourhood Sports Days Opening ceremony of the Sports Days – tournaments in handball, volleyball, darts and other sports.
April 21st
75th anniversary of the liberation of Trsat gala concert at the Trsat Croatian Reading Hall
April 22nd (5 p.m. – 8 p.m.) and April 23rd (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
Expert meeting on the topic of Trsat – Guardian of the Frankopan Heritage at the Trsat Croatian Reading Hall.
April 23rd
Feast Day of St. George, patron saint of Trsat, Holy Masses at the Parish Church of George (at 10 a.m. & 6 p.m.)
April 23rd - Return of the Frankopans – Part 1
Event opening ceremony, exhibition of old trades and crafts, horseback and carriage rides, children’s workshops Ceremonial parade through Trsat and assembly of associations. Beginning of the programme: knight games, archery tournament, medieval dances, plays and re-enactments of knight combat. Spectacle: Battle of Trsat Castle, concert and socialisation with knights.
April 24th - Return of the Frankopans – Part 2
Exhibition of old trades and crafts, horseback and carriage rides, children’s workshops, socialisation with knights, knight games, archery tournaments, medieval dances and re-enactments of knight combat. The firing of the cannon signals the end of the ceremony and the closing of the event.
