Every August 24th is celebrated the Day of St. Bartol, martyr and patron of the church in Cernica, which is why it was then that the Day of the parish was declared, and every odd-numbered year, the Day of the municipality of Čavle. Bartoja, as the people of Grobni call that day, was not to be missed in the past, and it is the same today, guests from other parishes, relatives and friends come, everyone is welcome. Bartoja is a time of gathering, fellowship and prayer for every family.

Since it's almost the end of summer and the return to everyday life after vacation, it gives us an additional reason to have fun and relax once more before the autumn rains. The folk festival that follows the religious ceremonies is always well attended and there is something for everyone. The youngest people stop at the colorful stands, the slightly older ones like to sit down in one of local restaurants and have a chat with someone they may not have seen since the last Bartoja. Sometimes, on that day, girls went out to their first dance, because for St. Bartola always "danced", and this is a custom that has been maintained even today among individuals.
