The most famous and popular event in Bakar is undoubtedly Margareta's Summer aka Margaretino Leto. Inspired by the celebration of the feast of St. Margaret (July 13th), the patron saint of Bakar, Margaretino leto has been held in Bakar for 30 years! During its forty days (end of June - beginning of August), visitors are attracted by events that offer something for everyone - a bit of entertainment, a bit of culture, a bit of interesting walking tours, and, finally, a heap of feel-good emotions. If you happen to be in Kvarner Region during the summer months, be sure to visit Bakar as well.
