As a traditional appointment, during the last weekend in August, in the fishermen’s harbour in Volosko, the international art competition "Mandrać 2024" will take place. This is an event, which for the thirty-seventh time turns a small, once fishermen’s, but now touristic locality embraced by the Bay of Kvarner - into an artistic oasis where on Saturday, August 24th, many children will exhibit their works, and then many local and international authors on Sunday, August 25th.
PROGRAMME:
August 24th 2024
from 9 a.m. - "Little Mandrać" - Art Competition for children up to 14 years of age
at 8 p.m. - auction of paintings by academic painter Claudio Frank and concert: Claudio Frank (violin), Esperanza Claudia Frank (violin) and Natalya Marycheva (keyboards)
August 25th 2024
9 a.m. - noon - registration of authors and their works competing in both, the "Mandrać - Mandracchio 2024" and "Ex Tempore" categories
at 1 p.m. - authors who create on-site in the "Ex Tempore" category must present their works with the organizer’s mark at the harbour’s breakwater for evaluation by an international jury of experts
at 7 p.m. - announcement of winners and award ceremony
at 8 p.m. - concert by Elvis Stanić et Le Petit Groupe (Alba Nacinovich, Leo Škec)
