The "Belt & Road International Regatta" is expanding to Europe, with its European stage taking place in Primorje-Gorski kotar County, Croatia. The event will commence in Rijeka with an opening ceremony and press conference on November 15th 2024. The main competition, comprising six races, will be held in Punta on November 16th and November 17th. Fourteen international crews will participate in identical J-70 sailboats. The event will conclude with an award ceremony at Marina Punat.

The regatta is organized by the Sailing Association of Primorje-Gorski kotar County and the Guangxi Sailing Association, in cooperation with the Guangxi Arthur Sports Culture Development Company, this initiative aims to connect countries through sports, culture, infrastructure, and trade.

The regatta aims to promote sailing while also fostering business, cultural, and tourism initiatives. It provides a platform for long-term cooperation and exchange of experiences among participants from around the world.
