Sensa – the centuries-old local tradition of the “race for cheese” – is reimagined in a modern form through the Cheese Festival, a multi-day event that celebrates Dubašnica’s pastoral heritage and the richness of its local cuisine.

🟡 Thursday, May 29 – Festive mass in Bogovići, the traditional "race for cheese", and the Cheese Feast on Ivan Klobučarić Square featuring lamb and cheese dishes inspired by Krk sheep and prepared under the coordination of renowned Krk chef Marin Pleša, with live music by Mih & Me and the band Vruja
🟡 Friday & Saturday – Workshops (wool felting, traditional "presnac" cake), interpretive cultural walks, local product fair (10:00 am – 8:00 pm), and concerts by Klapa Intriga, Kantriders, and Belfast Food
🟡 All week – local restaurants offering special dishes inspired by traditional island ingredients
