🐝 A Weekend on Cres with Local Honey and Traditional Bagpipe Sounds 🎶

Spend a weekend on the island of Cres filled with nature, tradition, and music! On Saturday and Sunday, 24 and 25 May, enjoy a guided tour through a beekeeping oasis and the world’s largest sage field, learn about the famous Cres honey, and experience the spirit of tradition at the International Bagpipe Festival – a unique celebration of the musical heritage of the Cres-Lošinj archipelago.

📍 Departure from Križić (turnoff for the village of Beli)
🕙 Start: 10:00 AM

Led by experienced beekeeper Mladen Dragoslavić, visitors will explore Cres’s natural richness, visit the largest sage field in the world, and enjoy the scent of freshly harvested sage honey. Participation is free of charge, and the tour is perfect for nature lovers, herbal enthusiasts, and fans of local products.

🎵 International Bagpipe Festival

🕖 Start: 7:00 PM

Experience the musical traditions of the islands through performances by local and international musicians playing the meh – a traditional sheepskin bagpipe unique to this region. The festival celebrates cultural heritage and brings together musicians from various countries. Organized by the folklore societies Orlec and Studenac from Nerezine.
