This year, the Island of Krk Folklore Festival holds special significance – it marks the 90th anniversary of the very first edition held back in 1935, right here in Omišalj.
🌿 It will be a weekend filled with tradition, the sounds of sopile, songs, traditional costumes, and a spirit of unity – all dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of the island of Krk.

✨ As the oldest folklore festival in Croatia, it has grown and evolved over the years, bringing together numerous folklore groups from across the island. Today, it takes place in a two-day format:

📌 Saturday, 14 June – Performances by senior folklore groups
📌 Sunday, 15 June – Performances by younger generations

🕊️ Join us in celebrating a tradition that bridges past and future, through folklore, traditional music, and the enduring spirit of togetherness that has enriched our island for nine decades.
