Frankopan Day in Stara Sušica – June 14th, 2025 🏰🌿
Join us on Saturday, June 14th, in the enchanting setting of Stara Sušica Castle for a magical journey back to the times of baroque elegance and gallant knights!
📍 From 9:30 AM in front of the castle:
– Local product and souvenir fair
– Traditional children's games (organized by DND Stara Sušica)
🥾 Frankopan Trail Hike
🕤 9:30 AM – gathering, registration, and participation fee payment
Enjoy a welcome tasting: Frankopan cocktail and baroque snacks
🚶 10:00 AM – hike along the Frankopan route towards Javorova kosa, including a refreshment stop at a natural spring and storytelling about the Frankopan family
🎟️ Participation fees:
– €15 (includes tastings, guided tour, lunch, hiking diary)
– €8 for children under 12
– €10 without lunch / €5 for children under 12 without lunch
🎫 Participants receive a discount on entrance tickets to the Large Carnivores Visitor Centre
🚶♀️ Interpretive Walk along the Frankopan Trail
🕚 From 11:00 AM – gathering, registration, and tastings
🕛 12:00 PM – start of the walk (easy 1.5 km route, ideal for families)
⚔️ Baroque Courtyard Showcase – from 11:30 am
Witness elegant baroque dances and thrilling knightly duels
🎭 Performances by the historical dance troupe Kontea and Knights of Vrana
🍽️ Lunch at the Castle – from 1:00 pm
🎶 Cultural and Musical Program – from 2:00 pm
