Join us for the oldest open water swimming marathon on the Adriatic – a proud tradition since 1910! The legendary Šilo – Crikvenica Marathon, held every year on the Feast of the Assumption (August 15), returns this summer for its 115th edition.

More than just a race, this marathon is a celebration of endurance, community, and heritage, linking the island of Krk and the mainland town of Crikvenica with a challenging 3.5 km open sea swim.

🏁 Race details:

Distance: 3,500 m
Start: Šilo, Island of Krk – 10:00 AM
Finish: Crikvenica, western breakwater
Official finish: 11:30 AM
Awards ceremony: 12:00 PM at the swimming complex in Crikvenica

📍 A checkpoint at Punta Šila must be reached within 30 minutes. Missing the cutoff means disqualification and boat pickup.
