🌍 World Tourism Day in Opatija

Under the theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation”, Opatija – the cradle of Croatian tourism – joins the global celebration with a rich program that combines humanity, sport, culture, and glamour.

✨ Program:

🏃‍♀️ Charity Run “Run for the Heart” – start at 10:00 am on Slatina (5 km, 10 km or recreational walk).

🎭 Opatija Time Machine – special guided tour – from 5:00 pm, meet Isadora Duncan and Queen Elisabeth of Romania (Carmen Sylva).

💃 Viennese Ball – Wien Ball – 8:00 pm, Crystal Hall of Hotel Kvarner, with the Wiener Strauss Capelle orchestra, dance performances and a traditional Viennese dinner.

🎨 Exhibitions & cultural experiences – free entry to Juraj Šporer Art Pavilion (Zoran Šimunović: Gardens of Pink Dreams) and the Croatian Museum of Tourism (100 Years of Hotel Esplanade and Croatian Paths of the Orient Express).

On September 27, Opatija will shine in full splendor – celebrating tourism through sport, art, history, and elegance. 🌟
