🎨 Presentation of the Art Installation “Disappearance”

At the Memorial Center “Lipa Remembers”, artist Melita Sorola Staničić will present her installation “Disappearance”, created as part of the program “Recognizing Absence”.

The artist explores the relationship between the body, emotions, and the collective memory of a place, inspired by Jung’s concept of the shadow – the hidden yet ever-present part of the human self.

The installation emerged through a performative process in which the artist traced her own outlines on transparent paper, exposed to the elements and the space of Lipa, symbolically linking personal experience with collective memory.

Alongside the drawings, five monochrome canvases are displayed, each embodying the energy of one of the five elements – symbols of existence, creation, and transformation.
