🌰 50th MARUNADA LOVRAN 2025

Lovran locals are extremely proud of their chestnuts, and this autumn we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Marunada – the festival honoring the Lovran chestnut, a delicious high-quality autumn treat known across Croatia and beyond.

During three weekends in October, Lovran and nearby villages Liganj and Dobreć come alive with the scent of roasted chestnuts, music, dance, and various sports events. The main event takes place October 10–12 in Lovran, with the opening traditionally led by children through educational workshops showing how our ancestors lived.

Visitors can enjoy a rich cultural and musical program, as well as gastronomic delights based on chestnuts – cakes, ice cream, cocktails, and traditional dishes. Homemade medica, honey-based brandies, and young wine are also offered.
