In the spirit of the Chocolate Festival and the upcoming Advent season, the Croatian Museum of Tourism will turn into a true chocolate oasis! The exhibition “From Bean to Chocolate: A Journey Through Time”, organized by the Zagreb Chocolate Museum, tells a story spanning five thousand years of chocolate history – from the first cocoa drinks to the beloved chocolate brands we know today.

Through more than 150 exhibits, visitors will discover how chocolate traveled from the ancient cultures of Ecuador and Mesoamerica, through European royal courts and English “chocolate houses”, to become one of the world’s favorite treats. A special section of the exhibition is dedicated to the history of chocolate production in Croatia – from the Rijeka Cocoa and Chocolate Factory established in 1896 to well-known brands such as Kraš, Kandit, and Zvečevo.
