Throughout December, Baška once again shines in its most festive attire – with thousands of lights, the scent of holiday treats, creative workshops, concerts, sports events and a rich programme for all generations. This year too, Advent in Baška brings a blend of tradition, togetherness and seaside magic.

30 November — Palada
• Lighting of the first Advent candle at St. Nicholas Chapel
• Children’s folklore group KD “Šoto”, DV “Katarina Frankopan”, church choir
• Blessing by the priest
• After-programme: Last Minute Acoustic Duo (Caffe bar Ulika)
5 December — Arrival of St. Nicholas
• Performances by children and gift giving
6 December — Lignjada: 19th St. Mikula Cup
• “Little School of Squid Fishing”
• Blessing of fishermen and boats
• Squid fishing competition
• Evening gathering and squid specialities
11 December — School Performance & Charity Fair
• Hall / school premises — gathering of parents, pupils and locals
12 December — Opening of the Advent House (Palada)
• Advent House open until end of December
• Fridays: DJ Veky
• Saturdays: Trio Andreas, L’Amour band, Trio Vox
13 December — Jurandvor
• Feast of St. Lucy
• Traditional “hitanje hlibcića” from the bell tower
