Cres becomes the stage for numerous summer events: A blend of music, tradition, and magical island atmosphere
This summer, the island of Cres once again transforms into a grand open-air stage! From mid-June to mid-September, town squares, historical streets, and picturesque villages across the island will come alive with a rich cultural, entertainment, and traditional program designed for all generations. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy premium concerts, historical festivals, theatrical plays, and the authentic gastronomy of Croatia's largest island.
📅 MAIN MANIFESTATIONS AND HIGHLIGHTS:
• June – A Splendid Prelude to Summer:

June 20: Klapa Solstice under the open sky in Predošćica (performance by klapa Teha and guests).

Last weekend of June: Fantasy festival "Isle of Wonders" – Cres becomes an island of wonders with elves and wizards, featuring guest appearances by actors Jed Brophy and Adam Brown from "The Hobbit" trilogy.

June 30: Heferer Organ Festival in the Church of St. Mary the Great.
• July – Carnival, Tradition, and Premium Music:

From July 10 to August 14: Lubenice Music Evenings – a classical music festival in the mystical ambience of ancient Lubenice.

July 11: 18th Cres Sheep Festival in Orlec – traditional sheep shearing competition, island heritage presentations, and a grand concert by the pop group Colonia.

Third weekend in July: 26th Summer Carnival in Cres – a large masquerade parade with a performance by the Venus group.

From July 17 to July 31: Jubilee 20th Theatre on the Pjaceta – plays for children and adults on the picturesque Pjaceta square.
• August and September – Peak Season and Traditional Semenj:

August 5 – 7: Traditional Creski Semenj – a three-day historical fair (dating back to the 16th century) and a massive celebration featuring concerts by Cubismo, SuperCover Band, Versi band, jazz musicians, klapas, and more.

August 10 – 17: "Cres - Island of Puppetry" project.

End of August / September: Florio Burburan Memorial swim marathon (Valun – Cres) and the 5th Rock Memorial dedicated to Dragan Medarić Gagi.
🎶 REGULAR WEEKLY PROGRAM (Throughout the entire summer):
• Monday: Klapa evenings with klapa Burin.
• Tuesday: Free costumed guided tours of the town of Cres.
• Tuesday and Friday: Exhibition and fair of local products Creska butega.
• Wednesday: Wool felting workshops "Sheep Shenanigans" (Ruta Cres).
• Thursday: Interpretative guided tour "Cats of Cres".
🐟 PROGRAMS IN ISLAND VILLAGES:
• Martinšćica: Fishermen's feasts (July 4 with the Macaklini band and August 1 with the Lucky band), free fragrant guided tours (July 14 and 28), and visits to the Andrija Linardić Museum.
• Beli: Tramuntana Days (from July 25) featuring concerts, plays, and masquerade nights.
• Valun: Valun Summer Nights and a children's theatre cycle "Just for Kids on the Pier".
🏛️ MUSEUMS & EXHIBITIONS ON THE ISLAND:
Throughout the summer, visit the Cres Museum (VR tour "Renaissance Cres", exhibition "Ancient Shipwrecks"), exhibitions in the Cres Tower, the "Creski kaić" Maritime Interpretation Centre, the Griffon Vulture Visitor Centre and Rescue Centre in Beli, and the Sheep Breeding Museum in Lubenice.
