Golubinjak Forest Park - Lokve
Lokve
Along the Rijeka-Zagreb motorway, only a kilometre from Lokve, lies Golubinjak Forest Park granted the status in 1954.
The area comprises about 50 hectares of forest area, and as a forest vegetation reserve enables visitors to relax in the shade and visit several attractions. The best known is the „forest queen“ – the highest fir tree in Gorski kotar (37 metres high, with a diameter of about 140 centimetres). Here are also two attractive caves: Ledena spilja and Golublja spilja and a whole series of original sculptures of the Lokve art colony, scattered all over the park.
