One of the most attractive autumn events is the two-day traditional Pumpkin Festival in Vrbovsko.
The programme includes competitions for the smallest, heaviest and most interesting pumpkin and includes, naturally, tasting of the many specialties prepared with these delicious autumn fruits.
The backbone of the manifestation is the exhibition where, besides pumpkin products, other traditional products such as honey, cheese, liqueurs, souvenirs and ornaments are offered.
A special attraction is the staging of traditional life in the typical local house, where participants show how people once used to live, work and eat in Gorski Kotar.
